Our brand new Autology product launches in March 2012. The new service includes re-designed product interfaces, increased content, improved search functionality, a flexible pricing structure, plus many more new and exciting features.

Our aim is to ensure Autology provides a flexible platform to meet school requirements in an ever changing landscape whilst maintaining our high quality, curriculum content standards.

Current subscribers will be contacted during the next few weeks to manage migration to the new service during March and April.In the mean time here are some frequently asked questions about the switchover for current subscribers.

My school has a current subscription to Autology, will our subscription continue on the new service?

Yes, you will be able to access the new service until the end of your subscription period. Your school will be contacted from February 2012 onwards to agree a suitable date for you to changeover. We are aiming to move all schools to the new service by 30 April 2012.

What will happen to my schools documents that have been loaded into Autology?

We can either make the documents available to all users of the new Autology service, or we can remove them.

Will I be able to continue using the same username and password to access the new Autology service?

No, your school will be issued with a unique token for accessing Autology. Individual usernames and passwords will no longer be required.

Will I be able to access the new Autology service from home as well as school?

Yes, provided you are accessing Autology from your schools VLE or web site.

We use a links on our school website pages and VLE to access Autology, will this change?

Yes, you will need to update all links to Autology to point to the new service. The current Autology service is accessible via www.autologyworld.co.uk  - the new service will go live on www.autology.org

I use the Autology Toolbar and Active Folders, what will happen to them?

The Autology Toolbar and Active Folders will stop working on 30 April 2012, however we will be launching similar 'apps' in Autumn 2012. We suggest deinstalling the applications from your computer on or before 30 April 2012.

Will Autology continue to award ATOMS prizes to students for who regularly use Autology for their research?

No, the ATOMS programme will not be available in the new version of Autology. However, we will be launching a new incentives and rewards programme later in the year for students who use Autology at home.
